What AirCast Does

AirCast is an AirPlay receiver for Amazon Fire Stick. It allows you to mirror your screen, stream audio, and play video from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to your Fire Stick. All communication happens over your local Wi-Fi network.

Data We Collect

AirCast accesses the following on your device:

• ANDROID_ID — A device identifier used solely as the AirPlay device identity for pairing purposes. This value is never transmitted off your device or to any external server.

That's it. We do not collect any other data.

Network Permissions

AirCast requires the following network permissions to function:

• Wi-Fi state — To detect your network connection and display your device's IP address.
• Multicast — To advertise the AirPlay service via mDNS (Bonjour) so your Apple devices can discover the Fire Stick.

All network communication is strictly local. AirCast does not connect to the internet or any external servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reporting
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No browsing or search history

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. No data ever leaves your local network.

Data Storage

AirPlay pairing keys are stored locally on your Fire Stick device only. These are used to authenticate returning AirPlay connections and are never transmitted externally.

Third-Party Services

AirCast does not integrate with or use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

Since AirCast does not collect any data from any user, there is no special risk to children. The app does not contain ads, in-app purchases, or links to external content.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since AirCast does not collect contact information, we cannot notify users directly — please check this page periodically.
