What AirCast Can Do
Screen Mirroring — Mirror your iPhone, iPad, or Mac screen to your TV in real time
Audio Streaming — Play music, podcasts, or any audio from your Mac through your Fire Stick
Video Playback — Stream video up to 1080p with hardware-accelerated decoding for smooth playback
Auto-Discovery — Your Fire Stick appears in the AirPlay menu automatically. No need to enter IP addresses.
Troubleshooting
Fire Stick not showing in the AirPlay menuMake sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Check that AirCast is running on the Fire Stick. If it still doesn't appear, try restarting the app. Your router must allow multicast/mDNS traffic on ports 5353 and 7000.
Video stuttering or lagUse a 5GHz Wi-Fi network if available. Move the Fire Stick closer to your router and reduce other network traffic (large downloads, other streams).
No audioCheck your Fire Stick's audio output settings (Settings → Display & Sounds). Try disconnecting and reconnecting from the AirPlay source.
Connection drops frequentlyThis is usually caused by weak Wi-Fi signal. Move the Fire Stick closer to your router, or use a Wi-Fi extender. Restarting the app can also help.
DRM content won't playSome apps like Netflix, Disney+, and others use DRM protection that blocks screen mirroring. This is a limitation of those apps, not AirCast.
